Parking
My area faces a huge problem of parking as it was built in the 1940's when refugees arrived in Delhi due to which our area was planned without much parking space. there is approx. 20 to 30 minutes of wait for parking space for residentials and non-residentials which result in illegal parking which causes traffic jams
Delhi faces a chronic shortage of residential parking space. If on an average three car spaces are assumed per car per day in the residential, office and shopping areas, then the current fleet occupies nearly 10% of Delhi's urbanized area. With a population of over 1 crore vehicles, Delhi is completely jam packed. The vehicle population keeps on increasing every single day at such high numbers and the space remains limited. Around 7.5 lakh new vehicles are registered daily in Delhi. The number is quite staggering. A drastic shift in policies and shared spaces is required to solve the issue

We have a lot of space occupied by scrap cars which are not usable because of the scrap vehicle lying there
People don't share each other's parking spaces when available. They start fighting to park their vehicles in front of their houses only. People are also killing each other on parking
